NaNoWriMo and me.

Well, I didn't complete my NaNoWriMo.

I got to 21,007 words, though,
so nearly half.
Right?

This does mean that my 44,000 word
fledgling novel
is now
63317 words long!

Yay!

Someone who did complete their
NaNoWriMo is

Well done, Magaly
and congratulations!

  1. If you got 21000 words written, you're a winner in my opinion - I think that's GREAT!! Congrats also to Magaly for her accomplishment. All writing progress should be celebrated! :-)

    1. Aww! Thank you, Lexa! I was writing a lot of Mabel Bunt, but it didn't seem right to combine the two different novels. As it is, I'm further in and further up than I would have been.

    1. Thank you! With you on the cheese! I'd like some brie de meaux, a little bit of vignotte and please, for the love of Laiterie, a nice big piece of Christmas stilton, hand-built from the tender curd of cows grazed on English summer lawns. *weeps*

  3. Is this where I politely point out that you helped write nearly 18,000 words on Mabel Bunt and at least 3,000 words of the new steampunk we're working on? You would have finished NaNo if I hadn't kept distracting you with other projects...So, uh, sorry?

    2. You were supposed to cough a bit, Señor Narrator. That's proper protocol.

I'm so very glad you pointed this out. When I wrote my post about finishing, and *cough, cough* helpful soul felt the need to point out that "it must be nice to have so much free time." I wanted to choke this individual. But I just took a breath and moved forward.

After I, too, pointed out that while doing NaNoWriMo, I didn't stop doing my day job, I wrote a few thousand words of Pre-Chaos and revised Thorn in Red and added another chapter to it!!! I might have been screaming by the time I finished *cough, cough* pointing things out *cough*

  4. Dear Rhissanna, I think you did a wonderful job. I will add to what our beloved Señor Narrator said, and remind you that you were also making dolls and giving Jesus a make over (love his new hair!). And you had to do all the work involved in becoming one with the U.S. *hehehe* I think 21,000+ words is a major accomplishment and then some!

    1. Thank you very much! I did consider adding all the writing together, but that didn't seem to be in the spirit of NaNo. I should have taken your advice, and just kept slapping those keys hard to and get it all on the page.
